I left school with few qualifications. Struggled to get a job; decided to start again and take responsibility for my education. Attended night school and obtained O Grades, GCSE, Highers/A Levels in order to enter for Professional Exams (CII) and a University Degree Course. It is always possible to start again and turn things round. I would like to share this to encourage others.
Early on in my current organisation I struggled to fit in and be seen as a valuable member of the team. I reviewed a number of books on personal development and growth and have successfully delivered on a number of high level projects. I am now regarded as someone that is proactive, has integrity and can be trusted. I would like to share some of the ideas/techniques that I have applied in my career to date.
Many times during my life I have been doubted by my peers, my parents and many others. What these experiences have taught me is that you must take personal responsibility and develop inner strength in order to make progress. I would like to share some techniques that have helped me develop at work and at home.
I struggled at school and then found work life a real challenge. I did not have the benefit of a mentor to help get me through some very challenging times. Through perseverence, determination and application whilst working full time and studying and learning I have been able to get myself into a much stronger position within a successful organisation. I would now like to help others that perhaps need a helping hand. Through sharing my experiences and struggles I hope to encourage others and highlight the fact that it is possible to turn things round and succeed.
