kind , non-judgmental , loyal
I am 18 years old and from the North of England. I am currently on a gap year after finishing my A levels to give myself the time to do all the things I've wanted to do but haven't had the chance to for different reasons. I am passionate about music, art, literature, film, baking, volunteering and cycling! I play the cornet, keyboard, guitar and I sing as a solo act in my spare time. I am also very concerned with politics, equality and discrimination and human rights issues.
I have a lot of experience both first hand and through my friends and family within this area. I have experienced many of the programs designed to help people in these situations and can therefore explain further what is involved/the steps that will be taken (for example CBT, counselling and medication) or help with any worries about them. Having gone through this myself I also believe that I can empathise with those suffering currently and hopefully be able to give tips based upon how I made my recovery.
Having experienced both positive and negative, long term and short term relationships I have gained a lot of ways of dealing with the problems both in relationships and post relationship issues.
Having succeeded in achieving very high A Level results despite missing a large proportion of my education, I feel that I am able to offer up some of my tips to success in exams and in time management.
I have been through many problems centred around adolescent depression and am pleased to say I made it through! Hopefully I can use my own experiences to help others do the same, as I realize that people in such a position in their teenage years often find it hard to get honest non-judgmental advice. As somebody who has just completed A-Levels and is currently going through the university application process for the second time I have gained some useful ideas on how to get through it all! Having volunteered for a number of yours I also have experience in how to get the best out of placements and how to arrange them.
