honest , caring , friendly
Hi. I'm Faye, and I come from the Black Country in the UK (yup, I'm a yamyam). I graduated with a psychology degree this summer, and now working in marketing whilst trying to find my feet in the big grown up world.
I have just graduated with a Bsc in Psychology - obtaining a 2.1. I have studied all types of depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, schizophrenia, substance abuse, gambling addiction, food addiction, which has given me a good basic knowledge base.
Like 1 in 4 people in the UK, I have suffered from depression. I was in a dark place for a while, I lost all my confidence and cut myself off from the world. With the strength and encouragement of my boyfriend I got over my issues. Life is short and every moment should be cherised - I want to remind people of that.
I have been in a long-term relationship with my boyfriend for nearly 6 years, and we have been through so much together. We got together when we were both 15, have been through school, college and university together, as well as my battle with depression, pregancy scares, and death of a family member. Although despite this, our relationship is strong and he is my rock.
Whilst at university I worked a clamydia screening assistant, promoting safe sex and good sexual health in my local area. This involved educating young people aged 14-24 about sex and STI's, and offering free clamydia tests to them.
As well as the health side of sex, I understand how important sex is in a relationship, and how many problems it can cause - (and solve!)
I've been through it all, and know how 'the best years of your life' aren't as easy as they seem.
Bullying, peer pressure, problems with friendship groups, trouble with teachers, extra-curricular options, year 9 options, GCSE's, A-levels, UCAS forms, University, living in halls, graduation.
I have written a number of articles aiming to guide and advise students on university living. Take a look at my links page.
I love listening and believe that a problem shared, really is a problem halved.
